Just a hypothetical question but if I were to fish somewhere that was
inhabited by by catfish in excess of 100lb, what would be the minimum/basic set-up that could safely land it? And I don't mean the "Oh I caught a 50lb carp on a 16hook to 1lb hookline once" answers, thanks ;-) If I wanted to be rigged up for it, what would I need bearing in mind that the strongest things in my tackle box right now are a John Wilson Avon/Quiver and an 8lb line on a Abu reel of some sort? Cheers! ;-) Andy |

Take a look at conger tackle. You might be better buying from the sea-fishing section of your tackle shop. Or wait 'til you get there are buy the tackle the locals recommend. Cheerio, -- |
