Default Update on Garmin Service

Well, I received my G162 back today with a letter stating that the unit was
working perfectly for them, and for me to check my battery connections. I
haven't *rechecked* them today, but I'll check again when I hook it back up.

But, when I unpackaged the unit, Garmin had graciously replaced the front
plastic cover and installed new control buttons. Looks like a new unit!

You're goofy.

Lowrance owns Eagle. Garmin is part of Garmin Ltd, which is more into
aviation communications and positioning stuff.

Nailed that one, Rich!

aviation communications and positioning stuff.

Garmin makes fishfinders too, and though they may be a bit more than the
Eagle line, IMO they're worth it. They're still less than Lowrance.
