A little "hello" from france, I recently discover this newsgroup after 2
years on frenchies ones... As you have probably already understand I am french. I am not a professionnal angler, and for the most I track pikes with a boat in the Rhone river... (no bass around Geneva). My spoke concerns baitcasting combos... around here and generally in France 99 percent of anglers use left and spinning rods and reels... so that makes that baitcasting tackle is as easy to find as searching a needle in a haystack by one night without moon... :-s So that's why I am searching casting tackle in others countries and USA seems to be the good one. I have already some web adresses like Cabelas, BassPro, and Tackle Warehouse but are there others as good as these (are they?...) for fishing equipment? Actually the money change is wery intesting for us, for exemple I have already ordered a Shimano Curado casting reel from Tackle Warehouse for $135 with shipping, in France we can have it for 205 euros minimum ( actually $260... ). Thank in advance for any answers... :-) Vincent. |

Bass Pro and Cabela's are both good companies to deal with. You probably won't find places with a bigger selection than Bass Pro. There are hundreds of places to buy tackle over the internet, many with competitive prices, but few, if any, with the selection of the big boys. Good luck. |

For sure Cabelas and BassPro are good ones... the only thing I can reproach to them is there shipping delay... more than 6 weeks! :-s Tackle propose FedEx shipping with only 6 days delay... Thank you ;-) Vincent. |
