![]() "Wayne Knight" wrote in message ups.com... I'm heading towards Madison and points west/north the March 5th early season opener (It's the 5th wolfie). Interesting. When I looked at: http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/ just before calling you last night, that is NOT what the page looked like! The clickable link titled "Early trout season opens March 5" was not the first thing listed under "This Week's Top Headlines." I had to find a link to the trout regs which eventually brought me to : http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/water...ts/trout04.pdf where, on page 3, it distinctly says: "There is an early catch and release season for trout from March 6.......".....um......and some other inconsequential small print stuff. ![]() Looks like the Wolfman is in for the 6th, Good Lord willin' and the creeks don't freeze! whos up for the 5th and or 6th? George is out......has to work. Joel has not yet returned my call......that's o.k., I'm used to it. ![]() Hey, Frank, Pere.......you interested? Wolfgang um.......not to imply that fils wouldn't be welcome or anything. |

Besides the forecast for Saturday is cloudy and upper 30's. Might, just might see some itsy bitsy mayflies. |

I don't mind driving through snow showers and I don't mind driving through rain but I really hate driving through the transition zone. Your trip is mainly east-west, mine is north-south. Big difference. Those trouts ain't goin' nowhere where I can't find them when the weatherman has something better to say. If you go I hope you find those little bugs and some trouts too. -- Ken Fortenberry |
