There was snow on the ground at my house last week - not much, and the only
time this year,so far. Sunday I picked a daffodil in my yard, the first one. Today the thermometer in the shade on my deck hit 82 degrees, and highs all week are supposed to be in the 70s. Went to West Point yesterday and started at 9:00 AM. First cove I fished I got a 17 inch bass on a spinnerbait about half-way back. Went to the next cove and got a 3 pounder off some rocks on a jig and pig - about half way back. A little way past that I got a 15 inch bass on a jerk bait. Looked like a great pattern - bass moving in staging. Water was 52 to 54 and it was cloudy. Then at 10:30 it was like a knife cut the clouds and pushed them away - went from full clouds to not a cloud in sight in about 30 minutes. Didn't get another bite and stayed till 4:00 PM. Surface temp had gone from 52 at 9 AM to 56 at 4 PM at the ramp. Have a club tournament there Sunday. Supposed to be warm all week - until SUNDAY when a bad cold front is supposed to come thru. Oh well ........ Ronnie http://fishing.about.com |

With you being absent from rofb for a little bit, I figured you were
fishing! Weathers nice here in Tennessee too, and so far my plans for this weekend is to renew my fishing license and give Percy Priest a workover. This is my favorite time of the year, and the time of year that my best catches are made. Good luck on your tournament! If only the rain would stay away... "RGarri7470" wrote in message ...
