Way ta go Finn.......I had faith in ya..........21 days and i will be
at Penns opening up the trailer and catching 24-28 inch brown trout I
have a new secret weapon it's called a concussion grenade stuns them
while you put them on your hook.........See you at Penns next
month............

The Handy One

I'll be up there this weekend, will provide a report if I make it
streamside. It Dan's (my 6 year old) first introduction to Penn's so he may
find it hard to make it past the first 1000 sticks and rocks.

Now for the grenade fishing...when I was a wee lad out in Brown's Mills,
N.J. we experimented in some of this newfangled way to scare up a few fish.
Apparently out on the ranges at Fort Dix (next town over) they had a habit
of storing some equipment out in the field, where eventually the local young
folk tracked down and acquired. I can't take credit for the aqcuisition but
out on Mirror Lake those concussion grenades sure did a job on the local
Crappie and Bass population. I do remember that it didn't seem to affect the
flavor of the fish, but you may have to cook them just a little bit longer
to get them tender.

Everything was fine for a good part of the summer until one of the remaining
cans didn't spark. That put an abrupt end to any activity on that corner of
the lake from there on end.

The Finn
