I thought I had something good going this morning when the minnows started
busting around the weeds right in front of me. I was flipping the bank and the water just came alive. I figured some big old bass where driving them up. I hit that area with every reactionary minnow bait I could think of. Culprit jerk baits, Kastermasters, Spinner baits. I even wacky rigged a couple natural shad Senkos up in there. While I was trying to figure out why nothing had produced a single bite they started up the opposite bank so I flipped the trolling motor on high and hit them again. I even threw some shad colored topwaters. Nothing. In the hour I spent on that section of bank the minnows busted up around the weeds and tulies atleast a half dozen times. I was tossing great feeding bass baits right into the active minnows, and also just off either side of them for quite a while. I didn't even get bit. Bizarre. Sadly that was the setting for the rest of my day. -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com |

I can't minnow in a tourament, but if bass are chasing them at all a wounded minnow with a hook through his back should produce a fish or three. -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com |
