Field and Stream just came out with their 110th anniversary issue and they
had put out a call for long time readers and heard from Hodgen O. Patrick Jr.. His story was on the last page of the magazine. He is 91 years old and learned to tie flies during 31/2 years of rehab after being injured defending Guadalcanal. He says he still ties 3500 to 5000 flies a year and doesn't sell any of them. He gives them away to his friends. Don't you think that is amazing? Ed |
