Default fishing (and tackle supplies) in Boston MA ??

Hi. will be in Boston area in July.
interested in lure fishing - can anyone advise what is available?

Also will be looking to stock up on lures - where do I look for good quality
low cost lures?
Do Wal-mart and the like stock fishing tackle??

Walmart and the like have tackle, but in the northeast, Dick's is the
chain that seems to have the best selection. Their Boston area store is
in Danvers.

But probably the best stocked fresh water selection you're liable to
find in the immediate Boston vicinity is at Northern Bass Supply just
over the New Hampshire line in Brentwood. (about a 1 hour ride)

How close great bass fishing is to Boston is a matter of how far you're
willing to drive. Cape Cod is renowned for its striped bass fishing, but
there are also over 350 fresh water lakes and ponds on the Cape, and
most are teeming with largemouth and/or smallmouth bass. There are also
numerous tackle stores on the cape that cater mostly to salt water anglers.
