Default Outer Banks Fishing

Going down for a week from the 24th-2nd. Got a few recommendations from Tim
for charters out of Oregon Inlet for the Gulf but if anyone else has any
recommendations, the more the merrier. Don't want to make reservations and
get stuck with a charter with bad weather, so waiting til the last minute
and need to have a list of possibles, hoping that one of them is not booked.

Also, as per Jeff, I hear the red drum fishing is very good in the area, any
recommendations for a guide in the area, or....if I may as bold to beg...if
you happen to be well verse and w/boat, I could supply gas, food, beer,
and/or whatever other bribe/s necessary. Doesn't even necessarily need to
be on a boat, I hear there are access points around where you can fish on
foot too.

Any updates on the fishing conditions in the area would be awesome too. If
the Red fishing is in full swing I may not pay the big bucks to go out in
the Gulf when I can have fun in the Sound or along the shore.

Any and all help would be awesome, Thank You!

i went out yesterday at cape lookout. windy and rough, but managed some
small spanish mackeral and blues trolling with hardware. the cobia have
been biting, and the big rock marlin tournament raised a bunch of big
fish out in the gulf stream...lots of marlin caught and released this
year based on reports, plus a 70 pound wahoo. at oregon inlet/hatteras,
you're closer to the stream. pirates cove has a good charter fleet. do
you have my phone numbers? not sure of my schedule, but could probably
manage a weekend day if the weather cooperates.

Oregon Inlet? Cape Lookout? You don't have anything named Tillamook do
you?

Poor guy, no ice cream for him. he probably has to stop at 7-11 for an
RC and a Moon Pie.

I love the cheese curd. It is the perfect snack on the boat.
