limited success .I've tried using them like a fluke , around grass , standing wood and I work them across the surface ,kinda like a buzz bait. Am I missing something?? I'll fish them but always go back to senkos Ken |

I have not had luck with the black or white ones though. I have partial bags of those colors sitting unused. All other colors seem to produce better for me. I throw them to inside corners and let them fall then retrieve slowly. Cast them onto shore and work them towards cover in deeper water. Cast them into wood and either let them fall or retrieve on the surface. Cast them into pads and work them on top and into openings. Cast them into bullrushes and retrieve them slowly. Every place I have tried seems to work very well. I am not sure about the success they have had in open water, but I witnessed it over the mats. Chris |

Hell open water produces fish as well with the toad. The key to fishing the
toads is simple...variation, Fast like a buzz bait, short jerk and pause works well too. sometimes I just let them sit there on the bottom and twitch them slowly. Let the fish dictate what they want "Chris Rennert" wrote in message news ![]() Ken Blevins wrote: I bought a couple of bags of horny toad [ white and green] and have had very limited success .I've tried using them like a fluke , around grass , standing wood and I work them across the surface ,kinda like a buzz bait.
