Default weigh tripod

Hi all
gardener and cygnet both make a head with various projecting screws, on
which to attach legs to make a tripod for weighing.

1 - anyone used them for biggish fish - say 40lb+.
2 - which legs - I presume they are long bank sticks - would be needed to
keep it stable and do the job safely?

cheers
Ian
