Default Bass fishing near Chicago

Hi to everybody!

I love fishing and I moved to Chicago (downtown).
I would like to know hot spots in the Chicago area and farther where to
go and fish basses.
I'd like also to know about Illinois or Indiana hot spots in a ray of
100miles from Chicago.
any suggestions?
anyone from Chicago here to share experiences and to fish together?
where can I rent a boat for salmon and trouts fishing?

In Wis. Lake Geneva and Delavan Lake are worth trying.
As in Ill try Clinton Lake,Mill Creek,Powerton Lake,Braidwood ( just know
the lake) All are a bit father then 100 mile except Braidwood and the Wis
lakes but they are worth a Day trip.

Hi;

http://www.chicagofishing.org has a handy dandy table... it may not seem
all that intuitive at first, but if you click on "bass", it'll only show you
lakes known to have bass... same thing for trout (although it won't list
lakes with both bass and trout exclusively, you'd have to list one and then
then other) also, click on rentals at the top to get a list of lakes where
boat rentals are available...

Print out a map (there's over 100 maps online and a link with printing
instructions near the bottom of each page), check out a photo so you have
a idea where your heading (is it wooded or surrounded by houses or businesses).
Check out the reports page for links to various discussion sites like the
Great Lakes Sport Fishing Council, Windy City Fishing, Chi-town Angler, Lake
Link and so on.. Also on the links page are a number of charter services
that asked to be listed. Many of the charter services used to be free if
the day was a bust... also, check out Dale Bowmans column in the Chicago
Sun-Times as there are usually a list of charter services there as well.

Hi Vittorix,

You might want to checkout this web site. it's for the Illinois BASS
Federation. Enter the site and look for the Club Locater tab. Lots of
Chicago area Bass clubs. I have fished with a bunch of those folks and
there is some fine people there that can help you. Meet a few and I
suspect that you will be able to ride along and see some great bass
waters here in the midwest.

WOW! I love this, thanks, and I'm dying to go with a boat! (but unlikely
I don't know anybody with one, and I don't want to be a "fishing
tourist" again - I went once, at it was nice, but I didn't have complete
control of the fish action.. http://snipurl.com/pescatamichigan so I
won't go again).
I would like to find fishing mates, enjoying friendship and fishing, and
if someone has a boat and wants to go fishing together, I'll love it.

it's very nice job.

as I told you, I went on a charter once, but is not for a real fisherman
like me, it's for fishertourists :-)

Hi Carlos, I defenitely would checkout it, which is? ;-)

thanks for suggestion, it is nice and I'm sure there will be a lot of
nice persons there.
but I don't know if is adact to join a club for me, in Italy clubs do
comptetitions, and for me fishing is one/two/three and no more friends
in (possibly) wild nature fishing freedomly.
I don't know anything about american fishing clubs, I'd like to know
more.
I'd love to meet fishermans and go fishing together, but not for
competition.

for me fishing it's not a sport with scales and penalties.
for me fishing is a dive in the Nature, a return to my origins of
primitive huntsman.
