Default Hoops and fishing

Well, now that my college basketball season is finally over -- and
satisfyingly so, I must say as a diehard UConn fan -- I can buckle down and
get serious about the impending fishing season! Back in December, I had
made plans to go to the final four and to fish Falcon Lake on the same
trip. But my family made other plans, and I had to trade off a trip to
Florida with the whole family for the TX trip, so I missed our championship
and the big border bass to boot. No more trade-offs. No more games until
next fall, so it's all about straining the graphite from now till then.

Congratulations on that unprecedented double. I can't stand Auriemma, but ya
gotta give him credit for building one hell of a program. And Calhoun
doesn't do too badly either.

Congratulations on the double championships, Rich. Being from New
England (Go Pats!) I was rooting for UConn in both games as well.

Rich, congrats to both the UConn teams for winning their championships
!!! I am happy for you and your school. But, I'm even happier that
college basketball is OVER!!! Do you realize that tree
hockey(basketball) has now become a year round sport? First you have
college ball with their start of midnight madness. Then as if it weren't
enough they started showing Labron James before the NBA season in what
amounted to intermural basketball. After that the NBA kicked in, and
their playoffs that last from what April to mid-June? Just when you
think its all said and done...they beat you about the skull with what
else? The women's NBA!!! Enough is enough!!! I wish they would have a
Basketball Channel that way I could delete it from my TV. Ok down from
my soapbax, but I am happy for you anyway Rich LOL

That's all well & good Rich (I was cheering for St Joe's myself), with all
these trips you're taking we're wondering when you're ever gonna join your
"other family" at an ROFB Classic...

Well the fish better watch out then huh Rich. Good luck as you hit the

"Tree hockey." That's a new one for me. I like it.

My two favorite hobbies (both to watch and participate in) are fishing and
basketball in that order. I try to fish and play ball at least twice a week
each. Nice to see I have something else in common with some of you. And
for those of you who don't like basketball, tough.

Pretty excited here. My Maine Black Bears are in the Nat'l Championship
game against Denver in hockey on Saturday night by virtue of a 2-1 win
over BC. And just to stay on topic, I'm going to the local boat show
Saturday afternoon.

Go Blue!
