Default Opinions re '05 Mercury Classic 3 cyl/2-stroke

I have located the above motor, 97% new, 6 mos. factory warranty
remaining. I can get the motor, mounted, for $2800 plus my '97
Mercury Force 50/2 cyl. ( know that '05 is the last year Mercury
will manufacture the Classic mid-range 2-strokes.)

Please give me opinions & advice: is this a good motor? Any common
mechanical problems with it? Good $$ deal?

Thanks!
