Kudos to Tim J for taking me to task for my simile about Usenet
arguments in a sensible manner, although I chose not to point out his
substitution of the word "Idiotic" was more than a little ironic.


I disagree, and so do dictionaries published in the past fifty years. Look
up the words "idiotic" and "retarded" and see if you can tell the
difference.

(from my dusty memory of school, idiocy was just a slight improvement
by degree on the IQ scale, over retarded).


Time for some extensive dusting. ;-)
