The last several days the fish bite has been slow. The water temperature has been cold. These fish don’t like cold water.
The first part of the week we caught small Red’s, Snook, Small Permit and Trout.
Wednesday afternoon my Angler’s quit fishing to watch all the pink flamingo flying in on the Flats. So we went on an Eco-tour to see all the different kinds of birds.
Thursday morning back on the water my angler’s were catching Snook. When the bite slowed down we sent further West in Florida Bay and started catching Bluefish in the 8 to 10lb range and we ended the day on Trout. “A great day fishing”.
On Friday I had three anglers. Mom, Dad, and eleven year old Dan (he’s in the picture above) from New York. I have to tell you little Dan can out-fish his Dad Mike. He counted every fish he put in the boat.
It always makes a Guide proud to fish with people who have a lot of fun catching fish!
