Hi
Posting to this group since although i'm hoping to fish across disciplines the tackle i'm asking about probably is most applicable to coarse fishing. Hope i'm right. It's been a long time since I fished but now want to get back into it. I'd like to buy a fairly multi -purpose kit which I can use for fresh water spinning and bait fishing in scottish lochs and rivers (a mix of trout and pike) but can also use for a bit of spinning off the rocks nearby for sea trout. Can anyone recommend what would be a good, reasonably cheap, first time purchase? I'm thinking I like the look of Shimano stuff and am seeing the Catana 400RA going cheap on ebay. Would this and an 8' spinning rod be a sensible purchase? Thanks in advance for any help. xiv |
