Well It looks like Chris won't be making the trip this year so I am
still looking for someone to share the ride down. I live Northeast of Madison WI. and can travel down two ways. 1, 94 thru Chicago area. Not my favorite, but will go that way if necessary 2, 51/39 south from Madison. My preferred way. If anyone is on either route or wants to meet up with me let me know. So far I am not taking the Sponge. So I could tow your boat. That may change. If I deciede to take the Sponge I will have to put a new depth finder on it and want a matching GPS unit also. Think I will go with Garmin. I am open to suggestions. Anyway, contact me ASAP if you want to share a ride. I've learned that I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it! sent into the ether: Wise choice... however, when I replaced my Garmin 160, I bought another Eagle 360. Nice little unit with a great readout. Priced at $150... is hard to beat. True, but I want the units to interconnect when the GPS is mounted in the boat and I want color. I had an Eagle Ultra II for what seems like forever. It worked great but needed to be sent in multiple times for moisture getting into the unit. very time I got it back there would be a line of pixals that did not work causing me to send it in again which would result in another leak. This went on for a long time. Finally I got it back with 2 lines not working but no more water problems and left it at that. I liked the screen and operation but Eagle in my opinion is a second rate company when it comes to service quality and honesty. I'll have to dig in the truck for the liturature I found on the net about the Garmin units I was thinking about. I'll post it and see if there are any comments, good or bad. Garmin served me well... and when the GPS goes out on my boat, Garmin is the
only choice. Didn't know I could connect it to the depth finder though... "Dan, danl, danny boy, Redbeard, actually Greybeard now" wrote in message ... On Tue, 14 Mar 2006 09:00:04 -0600, "Charles B.
