Fishing in Andalucia

I'm going on holiday to Mojocar in a month or so and I'd like to do
some sea fishing while there. I haven't any experience of fishing in
Spain, in fact I haven't got much of a clue generally. I was thinking
of just some lightweight fishing from the shore, and obviously want to
carry the minimum of tackle etc.I'm just planning to take a small
telescopic rod. Could anyone give me advice about methods, bait etc?,
bearing in mind I'm largely a beginner.

Most of what I saw fishing from shore on the Med was using a dough bait for
small fish. Even if the fishing was not great, was a nice area for
Holiday.
