Consider this post the official announcement of the Ohio - Massachusetts
Bi-State mini-micro-tiny-one-day-maybe-two Clave starting (and possibly
ending) on Thursday June 22. Right now it's just Bill Claspy and me hoping
the water goes down between now and then so we can flail at the trout along
the "secret spot", but everyone reading this (you know who you are) is
welcomed (no, URGED) to join us for some now infamous Eastern camaraderie.
We hope to get started in the early afternoon and fish until the sun goes
down. Anyone interested let me know. Other states can participate, but it
could make the acronym for the clave rather unwieldy.

There's only one "secret spot" and it's in Mass. ;-)

Considering we may wish to meet some new roffians (the old ones are
rather stale), I guess I should state I'm talking about Westren Mass -
near the Springfield area.

You have an excuse but Claspy knows better. That's hex time in Michigan.
Y'all come there and it can be the MI-OH-MAI miniclave.

okay, well be aware that, on behalf of all evil roffian inhabitants of
the old north state, i will be sending unspeakably evil vibes your way, in
view of the fact that we can't be there, thus demanding that no one who
participates has any fun at all, nor catches no fish, nor harbors no whore
of comely stature, nor consumeth no grape of tasteful vintage....

Weather permitting, I'll be headed back to NH on the 23rd. However, as
of late, weather has not been permitting, and if that turns out to be
the case, I'll join you at some point in the PM on any portion of the
"Secret Spot" that isn't submerged.

Are there contingency plans for flood conditions? I'm thinking Opa Opa in
Southampton.

I just found out today that I'll be busy during the daytime, but on the
Swift in fact. We'll be up at the 'stone rubble pile' turning it into less
pile and more 'structure' with a crane. I'm on documentary detail with
Steve but will probably be working crowd control at some point. You and
book-boy should come over to Enoch Sanford Road near rhe duck lady's place
and look for me before you get all committed. When the crane breaks for the
day (or if he cancels again due to mud) I'll be free to hobnob.
