Default This is how it's going to go....

Well, here's the general plan for the Northwoods Classic 2006.

On Wednesday night, I have reservations made at the Rhinelander Pub & Cafe
for 7:00. We will have our pre-tournament meeting there, where we will
review the rules. I expect that in addition to talking a lot, laughing a
bunch, we'll also eat too much and knock back an "Adult Beverage" or two.
There should also be gift packs to hand out to the participants.

Thursday is Day One of the two dayer. We will start precisely at 8:00 a.m.
Central Standard Time and the day is done at 5:00 p.m. Central Standard
Time. Weigh-In will be at Hodag Park

Thursday night, in keeping with NWC tradition, will have a venison feed at
the Huber Hotel. Again, I expect that a barley pop or two to be consumed
amid much laughter.

Friday will be the second and final day of the tourney. Blast-off is again
8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time and quitting time is 5:00 p.m. Central
Standard Time. Weigh-In will be at Hodag Park.

Friday night, we will have the entire rear half of the building at the
Al-Gen for eating fish, drinking, laughing and the Awards Ceremony.

For those that wish, Saturday can either be for traveling home or sampling
some of the other area lakes. There's only somewhere around 1,000 in the
county, so I'm sure you can find something.

I know this is somewhat of a departure from the normal procedure, but we
still get everything in, and avoid the weekend traffic on Boom Lake.

Oh yeah, the Hodag Bassmasters held the Boom Lake Open last weekend. I
haven't seen the official standings for the tourney, but this is a two day
team event. The winning team had 12 fish for the two days. The total
weight was right around 30 pounds, according to a friend of mine that
attended the weigh-in. There was less than a pound and a half separating
first and third.
