TL MC The CCS has helped me understand why rods rated for particular line weights don't perform well with the prescribed lines. But I found the greatest benefit from knowing the ELN of blanks prior to assembling the rod. If I want to use a three weight line for a delicate presentation, I need a three weight rod not one sold buy the manufacturer as a three weight but with an ELN of 4.9. Jeff Shafer |
