Imus never caught on here in flyover land and apparently he has almost no audience outside New York these days. He sounds like a has been who's about to be a long gone. And really, with that floppy mop on top of his head he has absolutely no business making fun of anyone else's hairdo. ;-) -- Ken Fortenberry |

Supposedly his syndicated show cost the local station a lot ( he use to brag about how much he cost). The song and political ad parodies were so funny you almost had to stop the car sometimes. The local station put more and more adds on the show that people stopped listening. |

Why would a kennie, having already denied knowing who Don Imus is, start a new thread just to disavow knowledge of who Don Imus is? Wolfgang yeah, some might believe it was to deflect attention from his own racism by hinting ever so subtly that this is about hairdos......but we all know better than to be sucked in by something THAT transparently infantile......right? ![]() |

Here in the eastern state of "I-95 Corridor", I've been aware of his popularity; but I've never sought out his program and frankly can't stand to listen to him when I surf past his morning show. I understand he does some clever and entertaining stuff when at his best; but his LCD style of humor is a turn-off IMO. Based on what I've heard, his latest achievement in stupid insensitivity doesn't surprise me. Joe F. |
