Default Cleanin' and packin'

Well I've started cleaning out the trailer and packing gear for the summer
G

Each year it amazes me how much fly fishing **** I own. Equally amazing
is how little of it I need to go fly fishing. It also astounds me how
much I suffer over each "leave it behind" decision.

HEhe, flashbackG A couple years ago I asked for tippet rings in Blue
Ribbon Flies and was told they don't stock them. I immediately teased.
"Heah, I thought this was supposed to be a well stocked fly fishing
shop.g"

Jurachek INSTANTLY shot back, " We only have everything you really need!"
John is bright dude G ( damn fine photographer, too )

Dang, Larry, I envy you your summers. Keep us posted on your activities.
I really enjoy reading your TR's on your web site. If I'm able to spend
some quality time in Idaho later in the summer I would love to try and
hook up with you for a float on the Teton.

TL,

Russell

All ya gotta do is get old and be willing to be poor .... the rest is easy

(blush) Thanks. I'm revamping it a tiny bit to avoid so much repetitive
stuff ... each entry will now cover several days instead of a single one ...
unless that one is really worth it G Truth is, I've run out of new ways
to say "got skunked" :-)

My only written in stone commitment is for the last two weeks of June in
Canada with my lovely bride. Any other time frame, let me know and I'll
try real hard to make a point of joining you. As you know, the area
around Ashton and Driggs IS heaven on earth ( at least in summer :-) and we
might even catch a fish or two as a bonus. I've fished the Teton a few
times now and each one makes me want to feel "at home" there a little more.
But I bet it's a river that takes lots of time to really understand.

I don't know if I reported this in my journal or not. Last summer I worked
my way down stream from that camp/access you told me about, fishing a PMD
hatch and catching small Cutts ( mainly ). As one such small fish made a
last flashing, diving effort to avoid capture, something fishlike but very
very big came out, chased it a foot or two, then thought better of it. To
say that I worked that area "thoroughly" with a streamer after that
experience, is an understatement g
