Not sure on carbs on that motor - have you replaced your spark plugs?
My 97 200 Venom used to eat plugs pretty fast.

Hop down to NAPA and purchase a bottle of "Seafoam Auto-Marine Motor
Tune-up" and add it to your fuel tank. It is useful for stabilizing the
fuel, removing water from gasoline, removing carbon deposits, and cleaning
the carb and engine.

I replaced plugs on a Mercury three weeks ago but the motor still ran rough,
so I bought a can of Seafoam last week and added it to 16 gallons of fuel in
the tank. A few days later I cranked up the engine, and it still ran a
little rough for the first five minutes of idling. But after a couple of
five-mile runs down the lake with two stops to fish, everything smoothed out
and now the motor purrs like a sewing machine.

I'm impressed... the stuff actually delivers what it advertises.
