Default Update on the kid.

John's house was spared by the fires, and he is back home. A little wind
damage, and no potable water yet...but he is counting his blessings!

I asked him about the lakes...the fires burned almost every lake shore
line. I thought that would make for some bad fishing when the rains came
and washed all the mud and rocks into the lakes...but he said it
actually was a good thing overall. It happened in the last big fire, and
he said after everything settled back to normal, the fishing was
improved....New rock piles, and added nutrients to the water. I guess
nature takes care of it's self pretty well .

All in all, it's been a good year for the kid..still has a home,
finished first, angler of the year, in 3 out of the 4 tournament
circuits he fished, (one was with my grandson Jordan...proud grandpa!).
He is going to fish some FLW tournaments next year...and his dad is his
biggest FAN! grin.

Life's good!

Good to hear. My daughters friend in Ramona kept her home, but her inlaws
lost theirs. Her borther in law is a firefighter and almost bought the farm
when the truck was overran by the fire. Truck behind them was caught and
the firemen are in comas. Bad all around.
