Default What I learned today

Today I learned that my son's stay in Chile will be in their Winter ( off
season ) and the same time I'll be in Montahoming.

I had been doing research, had the wife convinced it was a cool idea and was
ready to fly on down for a while with two kid visits being the bread around
a fishing sandwich.

Dang.

Default What I learned today

Sorry to hear about your son's rather poor timing. I blame it on the
parents. :-)
What I learnt was that in an ice storm, yah gotta have these:

The nasty part was watching 3 foot sheets of ice flying off the top of
18 wheelers on the highway. More than a few broken windshields.
Also, paybacks are a bitch. I always (even when I was MUCH younger
and drove a Mach 1) complained about those idiots that fly in and out
of traffic, becoming a danger to others as well as themselves.
Watched one Honda Civic today with a big fin on the back doing that on
I-80 here in Omaha. About 150 yards behind me he made one too many
swerves and slid off the highway and down the hill in a cloud of
snow. Didn't flip, just spun out and ended up about 100 feet off the
highway in a cornfield with the right front wheel tucked up under the
engine. I stopped, ensured he was okay and left, with a smile.
