Am I perverted?

I have been told by my better half that she does not think it is a
normal thing for a grown man to be caressing and talking to his fishing
rods come every Late winter........I live in the Albany area of upstate
NY and winters are rather long. Do any of you other Fly fisherman do
this?.....I said to my wife that maybe I should follow the leadership
of our recently past NYS governor instead..................go on a
trip to Washington DC and have my rods caressed by someone
else..............F/T
