![]() "~^ beancounter ~^" wrote in message ... What are the Obamas doing there, I thought Muslims were not allowed in the Catholic church, well I guess it's fitting since good old Teddy the murdering, drunkard, womanizing, hypocrite is flat on his back. A end to an error, at last. Great job politicizing the funeral with the pimping of health-care reform. A champion of this a defender of that, yet nobody can cite one example of his accomplishments, more like the lack thereof. still an idiot, I see. The funeral is today, that was a 'celebration of life' last night. If you cannot figure out Ted Kennedy's accomplishments, it doesn't shock me. Hell, you still think Obama is a Muslim. And that, sir, speaks volumes. yeesh, get the clue bat, Tom |

You sure are raisin' a hell of a stink. I don't know why people always say, "I hate to say I told you so", because I *love* to say I told you so. ;-) It is interesting though how many of the usual suspects are eager to raise their hands and say "Me, me, me !!" when you ask "Who's an ill bred, low-class simpleton with not a shred of human decency or dignity ?" Carry on. Oh btw, here's the Cal Thomas column if you haven't read it: http://www.calthomas.com/index.php?news=2687 -- Ken Fortenberry |

And when you don't think they could go any lower, they let Teddy's
grandson offer up a prayer on healthcare...unreal.. Apparently the liberal amateur theologians think it’s perfectly kosher to pray for universal health care — on TV, in the middle of a national debate, at a funeral service ostensibly devoted to grieving over someone, by exploiting an innocent child — because, um, Jesus would have supported it. |

![]() Source- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_P._Kennedy,_Sr. Kennedy had a close friendship with Nancy Astor; the correspondence between them is reportedly replete with anti-Semitic tropes.[20] As Edward Renehan notes: As fiercely anti-Communist as they were anti-Semitic, Kennedy and Astor looked upon Adolf Hitler as a welcome solution to both of these "world problems" (Nancy's phrase).... Kennedy replied that he expected the "Jew media" in the United States to become a problem, that "Jewish pundits in New York and Los Angeles" were already making noises contrived to "set a match to the fuse of the world."[21] According to Harvey Klemmer, who served as one of Kennedy's embassy aides, Kennedy habitually referred to Jews as "kikes or sheenies." Kennedy allegedly told Klemmer that "[some] individual Jews are all right, Harvey, but as a race they stink. They spoil everything they touch."[13] When Klemmer returned from a trip to Germany and reported the pattern of vandalism and assault on Jews by Nazis, Kennedy responded, "Well, they brought it on themselves." |

![]() "Ken Fortenberry" wrote in message ... I *love* to say I told you so. ;-) and, you really think I didn't think this thread would yield a range of opinions, from the sanguine to the bizarre?? By the way, I only have seen a handful of posting folks who lack any sense of nuance on the matter. One of them has long stated a disdain for the Kennedy clan, and should be applauded for lack of hypocrisy, I suppose. The others have moved way past that level, onto distasteful crap that one would expect from the sources involved. Still, fishing has been slow, I'm still working on my treatise regarding long-line release physics, and we've gotten some fascinating insights here. ROFF, in all it's glory, I say. Tom |

Hypocrisy is not at the top of the list of things a person lacks when they post that someone is a piece of **** the day after he passes away. And applause wasn't my reaction, mine was deleting a couple of entries off my iPhone. The others have moved way past that level, onto distasteful crap that one would expect from the sources involved. ![]() This is very important information, when we wish to understand what Ted Kennedy accomplished in his life. He chose his allies carefully - namely the KGB. He worked with them against the USA as revealed by old Soviet archives. ( Link ) Kennedy had instructed Tunney, according to the KGB, to carry a message to Yuri Andropov, the General Secretary of the Soviet Communist Party, expressing Kennedy's concern about the anti-Soviet activities of President Ronald Reagan. The KGB reported "in Kennedy's opinion the opposition to Reagan remains weak. Speeches of the president's opponents are not well- coordinated and not effective enough, and Reagan has the chance to use successful counterpropaganda." Kennedy offered to "undertake some additional steps to counter the militaristic policy of Reagan and his campaign of psychological pressure on the American population." Kennedy asked for a meeting with Andropov for the purpose of "arming himself with the Soviet leader's explanations of arms control policy so he can use them later for more convincing speeches in the U.S." He also offered to help get Soviet views on the major U.S. networks and suggested inviting "Elton Rule, ABC chairman of the board, or observers Walter Cronkite or Barbara Walters to Moscow." ... Kennedy should be exalted - by Putin and the old KGB hardliners. He followed the path of so many other Democrats who adhered to our enemies in times of conflict. |

An honest, distasteful, low-class comment is still a distasteful, low-class comment. I was more surprised than personally offended. I expected that kind of atrocious manners from the usual ill-bred morons around here but not from someone who supposedly has been schooled in the social graces. -- Ken Fortenberry |

I'm sure you remember that I stood, pretty indignant, over the same principle after Gherke passed. The difference, to my mind, is this: The Gherke thread was intended to be directed to his widow. This thread, I strongly suspect, will not be followed by any member of the Kennedy family, was not intended for their benefit, and excepting Wolfgang, no family friends will likely ever read it, or care.
