OT dumbed and dumbered down

I watch very little TV compared to the averages I see published, but
two of my favorite programs are going off the air ... "NOW" and "Bill
Moyers Journal" ... both on PBS

I don't know why, but somehow I doubt that it's because too many
people in our culture of sound bites were asking for more thoughtful,
in depth, and mentally challenging programing.


What I see happening in this country would really scare me, if I
allowed myself to think about it much. Thankfully I gave up thinking
in my new effort to better fit into my society.
