Okay folks, enough messin' around. Its 2 1/2 weeks till Penns and I
still don't have a reel for my 'boo. Got the silk line all prep'd. Rod is smiling at me. No reel. The rod is a new kind of bamboo called a Tri-Hex. http://www.almightyrod.com/Tri-Hex_Rods.html It is the rod in the banner at the top and also in the 4th picture down (excluding the logo). I can honestly say that its the first piece of bamboo I've ever lusted after. It is the sweetest piece of Tonkin cane to ever cross the pond. I cannot afford a Bellinger, not ready for a second mortgage on the house. Looking for a Bellinger ("S" handle, black sided) "style" reel to go on this. I've been outbid on ebay to many times. Does anyone have a reel that they're willing to part with that would compliment this rod? BTW, the rod weighs 4.4 oz. Frank Reid |
