"There's still a lot of opportunity for visitors to come down here. There are a
lot of beaches that have not been affected and will not be affected." and then, he lied, er, spun, even mo "If people want to help, the best way to help is to come down here and visit." Barack Obama, June 14th, On The Scene, Gulfport, MS And from the official release: "The last point I'm going to make, and this is something that's been repeatedly emphasized, here in Mississippi -- but it's true in Florida, it's true in Alabama and it's true in portions of Louisiana -- there's still a lot of opportunity for visitors to come down here, a lot of beaches that are not yet affected or will not be affected. And we just want to make sure that people who have travel plans down to the Gulf area remain mindful of that, because if people want to know what can they do to help folks down here, one of the best ways to help is to come down here and enjoy the outstanding hospitality." Wow, whoda thunk it - Obama suggesting to folks to come on down and actually _enjoy_ the "outstanding hospitality" of all of us Mississippi racists in our sheets, burning crosses... ....but, hey, he doesn't know what Ken and the Sarge know...eh, he's probably been a Republican BP-Haliburton man all along...after all, he is Cheney's cousin... HTH, R UPDATE on COREXIT DISPERSANT Hey Dean, you may be interested that 5 university labs, including labs at Texas Tech, the U of Cal/ Santa Barbara, and the U of Georgia are trying to research the effects of that COREXIT dispersant I think you mentioned a while back. It is manufactured by Nalco. Oh, one little problem: Nalco wouldn't give or sell the 5 labs samples of COREXIT. Repeated requests but. . . Nalco won't provide samples for scientific work on the effects on the crude OR on the marine environment. As a defender of the White Race and FRCs (Foreign Renegade Capitalists) I thought you might have some special insights on why these labs cannot get samples for testing. A mere skeptic like myself, so far from the front lines, is relegated to the drudgery of research. Like tracking down the ownership of Nalco. Oops. ya think someone over at DOJ, Criminal Division, might be doing the same thing? Bahahahahahahaha. Dave |

HTH, R I don't believe I've said Mississippians are all racists. Even in the early '70s working down there a bit in Jackson, I don't believe most Mississippians were any more racist than the rest of us. Excepting the crazies, the paid thugs and the Delta of course. Maybe a little scary now and then, but not any more so than some of the other places I worked. It's just your occasional comments, not all Mississippians, that Ive labeled as racist; Not even the nastiest racial comments possible, and certainly something you could easily quit. Dave Who recalls an interesting midnight diner in Alabama once with Governor Wallace's body guard at Hampton Hall, a few foggy yards from the remaining columns of General Wade Hampton's plantation house. Very eerie, as I had studied the general's cavalry recon tactics and significant engagements previously. |

What the hell ? All that speechifying and not *one word* in defense of the white race ? That's insidious. Well, I guess since Obama is only half white it's only half insidious but still ... Yeah, uh-huh... And there it is, R |
