Not necessarily an Orvis fanboy, but I have a gift certificate for
$150 and a need for new wading boots. Can anyone give me any feedback on any of the boots they sell there? Here's the products page: http://tinyurl.com/2d2emch I'm particularly interested in the EcoTrax soles, and how well they work, but feedback on any of their models is appreciated (not the wet- wading shoes, though. I need all-season boots). Not afraid to spend a bit...my last two pairs of "cheaper will be fine" models blew out WAY too soon to be economically justifiable again. --riverman |

I used them for the first time in Labrador with my grandson. By the third day my feet were so sore I could barely walk. Wilson, the head guide said it was the boots. Fortunately my grandson was wearing my old boots. We switched; end of sore feet. I believe it was the canvas sides that didn't offer enough support. Can't comment on the EcoTrax. Dave |
