Hello all;
We want to visit the area of Arjeplog in June and fish the Pite-älve (near
Apno-fället) for a few days.
Has anyone fished that river before ? What flies to use and what is the
best way to fish?

Thanks
Frans

It was a family holiday, but also did some flyfishing.
AND......I am dutch too !!
If you want, call me at home : 076 - 50 40 263
You are also invited to come to see some slides I made there.

Hi Warren and riverman,

I am fine.
I wish a was a bit better in the internet stuff.
I tried to mail some photo's from my latest 6 weeks trip to Patagonia, but
it is too big for the newsgroup.
Then I tried to mail Warren directly.... I received the mail back :
undeliverable.
I am such a newbie and very clumsie in this kinda work.

If someone fiend the time ( you need a LOT, to teach this to me ) please
explain how I can sent some
photo's, just to drive you crazy ....

Anyway,
greetings !
Hans

Hey Hans: Can't help you with the photo thing....I know how to attach a
photo to an email, but it turns out to be such a large file that often it
gets rejected because my friend's email box can't hold it. I know there must
be a way to make it smaller so I can attach it better, but I don't know how.
Also, people know how to put them on websites and have folks link to them,
but I can't do that either.

Patagonia, eh? Is that the South American Patagonia?? That's a hell of a
long way from Holland....and I thought I got around!!

Hi riverman,

Yes, I can make photo's smaller in Paint ( ctrl W ! ), but even the smalles
ones are comming back !!
The internetpage think with a link is what I have to learn, I think.

It was indeed Argentine and Chilean Patagonia.
I fished over 15 streams and some lakes. Very very beautiful : cristal clear
water.
Impressive nature AND no-one there !! Only on the rivadavia river I met 3
other driftboats.
Unbelievable !
Plenty of ( big ) fish too. What about a 26 inch brown ? ( NZ sizes )
Anyway, I promise to post some, as soon as I CAN ...

Do we meet in North Sweden in August this year for Rogers' Clave ??

greets,
HAns

Hi Warren and riverman,

(lot of stuff snipped)

Hi Guys,

Please check out Irfanview as a program for your pics. It is free. If you
are initially trying to do this stuff, I recommend it. As far as I can tell
it is a good basic program. The person who set it up is in Europe. Just
find the site on Google and download it.
I use it.

Hans,

Nice to hear from you. I am planning to join the Swedish clave also this
year.
What is the time schedule of the holiday of your family? When are you
coming
to Arjeplog?

I see if I could also this time come a little bit earlier and fish for one
or two nights
in the near waters of Arjeplog.

Absolutement! I'll be arriving a few days late with Vaughan...I had to get
frequent flier miles from the US, and they were only available to get me to
Stockholm on Aug 4th, so we'll be coming in on the 6th. When do you guys
come back out?
