he took me out today for some castin lessons, and proved to be a *most
patient* teacher. * he* made it look so easy- caught two browns, each time
he had em the second his fly hit the water
- *i* did ****ty- i'm amazed i left being still in possession of the fly i
started with- my fly seemed to like trees better than water :-(

After many of my initial fly fishing excursions, I was horribly
disillusioned. Keep with it; you'll have an experience where the light
turns on, all is right with the world, and there's no turning back...and the
incidents with the trees, while probably never going away, get less and less
frequent and more and more bearable.

Streamside lumber is part of trout fishing in the east, especially the
southeast. Rhododendrons are fly eaters. Good places for woolly boogers,
though.

Wait until you go out west and amaze everyone by casting while keeping your
rod tip below shoulder height...

Time was......not so long ago......Opie or [insert name of choice here] was
singing JUST that refrain. Stick with it for a while and we'll all be
reading about what a whiz of a teacher ole Snake is.

Wolfgang
oh, and if you should happen to stick with roff for a while, i'll teach you
how to play bop the ****-weasel........i promise.

Is that a game, a tune, a musical instrument, or a dirty trick you
play on bop?
