Surf perch feed on little bitty creatures that are stuck on pilings. I catch mine at high tide from a dock when I can see them. The trick is to use a small hook because they have very small mouths. The best bait is to get piling worms at low tide. 2nd choice is live sand shrimp using about 1/3 of a shrimp as bait. Put the bait up against a piling while they are feeding. |
