Looking for info on the Bat and Ball pub, near Fordingbridge. Seem to
remember they cater especially for anglers holidays and have their own
stretch of the Avon. Have they a website?

Thanx

You might want to look at Sandy Ball Leisure Park just down the road - they
also have a stretch of the Avon (and a web site)

Steve,

Back in September I noticed that the Bat & Ball was actually closed and the
owners are looking for new tenants.
No one that I spoke to could offer any information on what had happened to the
fishing rights, or even who to talk to regarding the same.

You might try the Bull at Downton as they offer accommodation for around 40
pounds per night, and it is not that far away from the Bat & Ball.

Regards,
Peter
