I currently have a Sundridge 1 man dome which I am more than happy with for
longer winter sessions but would like to have something that is a little quicker to put up for those short summer sessions instead of my ageing 60" umbrella and also something I can use with an additional outer skin for the winter. I have read numerous reports regarding "pram" type bivvy systems such as Trakker Armadillo, JRC STi and Chub Cyfish. They seem such a good idea and very quick to put up (according to the press releases) but would appreciate any first-hand comments. My initial thoughts are that the trakker product look very good but at around GBP 480 including full winter overwrap it is very expensive - compare this with JRC STi and/or Chub Cyfish both including overwrap at around GBP200/GBP 240 respectively, I would like to think that there should be a good reason for the price differential. Any thoughts on the + and/or - of any of the above would be more than welcome. Russell |
