Retired now, I write the above website purely for fun. It has been going for
about three years. It attracts a worldwide audience and has become surprisingly successful. Try typing in Self-Sufficiency in Google. A trip to Ireland caused me to think about sea fishing - not a subject I'm over familiar with. You can see the results of a first article on "Fishy Alternatives" http://pages.britishlibrary.net/patgardiner/fish.htm Can anyone give me hand with a follow up? The location will be general - Britain, Ireland, US, Canada, NZ. How would you set about changing from raising your own meat to catching your own fish. Can it be done? What would you need to do? Are there licensing considerations? Can you collect shellfish freely? Will a rod and line from the beach be enough or will you need a boat? Any help greatly appreciated...where appropriate, I'll be glad to credit on the page or even, for any able writers, add a separate article. Regards Pat Gardiner www.go-self-sufficient.com. |
