New to the Sarasota Fl. area and would like some advice as to bass and snook
fishing. Pan fish are also on my list. Any suggestions would be helpful.
As usual in this area there are several small lakes w/ plenty of fish but I
have as yet caught any. HELP!
thanx

You will find some good local help on Capt. Mel's site:

http://www.capmel.com

He has articles as well as a forum; search the archives first and then
you can ask some specific questions if you have not found info in
previous posts.

You mention bass and snook and reference local lakes. I think that you
will not find the snook in the lakes. I am not sure if you are looking
for freshwater angling info and listed the snook or both.

I mostly fish sal****er in that area but there are some good lakes in
the area as well. Capt. Mel's site is mostly sal****er related but there
are anglers there that fish both.

Good Fishin'

Tried to use your e-mail address, but it bounced. I can probably answer
many of your questions about both fresh and salt water fishing in the
Sarasota area. If interested, contact me at
