Mike
In our northern smaller lakes I like to use a medium sinking line. The two flies of choice for rainbows, browns & specks are # 1 an old pattern called the Silver minnow. This pattern is an old one but is my confidence streamer. The second would be either a Speckle Trout or Brown Trout imitation streamer. & last but not least a Dragon fly nymph. I use a very large green or green & brown pattern. I also like a 9' to a 10' leader (my preference might not be yours). Hope this works for you I know these have sure produced good results for me. |
