As soon as the calendar is turned to September many of us wake up.
Wow......fall is arriving. September means two thing to me. 1) Halfpounders on most Valley rivers plus the lower Klamath and lower Rogue Rivers. This is one of my favorite thing to do with a fly rod. Early and late in the day with the sun off the water is important here. 2) The Pit River and the Isonychia mayfly hatch.
