The power came on today at 3:28 PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now the real work on the yard begins.
I pull the carb on the tin boat and drain the fuel system and gas tank, lines etc. Put in fresh mix gas and the 9.5 started right up. The boat has a few small dings but nothing serious. I still have 4 more trees to cut up befor I can get the hull from the project boat out of the woods. Found 2 of the deck pieces (now cut up) covering a neighbors busted windows so at least they went to a good home. All is much better in the land of hot showers and no noisy generator to fill twice a day. FEMA sent a check to us to reemburse (sp) for the generator plus gas and oil (I changed it daily because I was working it hard). The Minn-Kota 55T is missing but Calf. Bill had sent me a 40M 12/24 foot control that came through fine. I hope the @$%&*#@ looter that got it falls in the Peace River with it. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I can get them developed. Doc (going fishing again Monday cuz I can) |
