New Zealand----giving thought to moving to Nelson New Zealand--sort of a
last fling--the town is on Northern coast of South Island--sort of like San Diago 30 years ago--full of sea food old english cathedral an irish pub --surrounded by vinyards [replacing sheep farms and close where the Motueka and Baton rivers meet--big browns without backcountry iking] --need to move fast--the rich californianians are moving in and i doubt i could get a small plot and house with 5 acres on the Motueka for less than 150 thousand. QUESTION ONE-- How do I get my bride to give up tennis five days a week with friends in Wilmington and easy acess to US bound family ? Divoice is not an option--been thru that and cannot afford another and this squaw is a keeper. Didigal camera--now that prices are under 200$ thinking of replacing my sinkable OLYMPUS --would like to have micro option to use copying pages from books etc ant to take pictures when Jeff cathes a fish--Dave Lewis the camera whiz on FF@ suggest the new 5 mb olumpis--help and suggestions needed Questin Three-- What is a REAL indian ???? Goverment has a rule--creek indian association has a rule---census bureau has a rule ---was thinking of answering Font when he said I was not a real indian but was reminded of a boss many years ago when i tried to get some attention by verbulizations--he said " I would not lower myself by arguring with you." My squaw is away somewhere playing tennis in the rain and rather that wait for her to type this th9nk i will have a third manhatten and hit send Indian Joe |

Clean out the bank accounts, cash in the stocks and bonds, move to NZ and if she don't follow, refuse to give her a divorce. Doubt that it's legal or that it would actually work, but when ya gotta go, ya gotta go! Sorry I can't answer your questions, Joe, but I can tell you that when I was a green-as-grass marine pilot, back in the early '50s, most of the older guys in the squadron had spent WW II in the Pacific, and more precisely, had spent R&R leaves in New Zealand. They allo said it was like heaven on earth. Of course, they were probably more interested in the young maidens than the big browns; but in any case, the sea food, Irish pub and vineyards sure sound inviting! vince without backcountry iking] --need to move fast--the rich californianians are moving in and i doubt i could get a small plot and house with 5 acres on the Motueka for less than 150 thousand. The second is not as good but better than most and does quite a few of them. The first site also has forums where people get into quirks of individual cameras. |

![]() Joe McIntosh wrote: QUESTION ONE-- How do I get my bride to give up tennis five days a week with friends in Wilmington and easy acess to US bound family? hmm...sounds more like a reason to go than to stay. perhaps a few of your "close" friends could assist in persuading Dene of the substantial benefits of residence in New Zealand. g also, knowing Dene, she'll have numerous friends and plenty of tennis opportunities in a more favorable and enjoyable climate than Wilmington - without all the bulging population and traffic problems. Didigal camera--now that prices are under 200$ thinking of replacing my sinkable OLYMPUS --would like to have micro option to use copying pages from books etc ant to take pictures when Jeff cathes a fish--Dave Lewis the camera whiz on FF@ suggest the new 5 mb olumpis--help and suggestions needed 5 MB is probably overkill for use on the stream unless you're planning on printing poster size photos - and I don't think the 5 MB cameras are below 200 yet (though there may be some). I have the Olympus 300, water resistant. It's fine for most uses, but the controls on the back are a bit tiny. Invest in a bigger memory card than you typically get with the camera - a 64k at minimum, 128k is better - so you can take and store more pictures on those long trips when you are unable to download the photos to a computer. Questin Three-- What is a REAL indian ???? Goverment has a rule--creek indian association has a rule---census bureau has a rule ---was thinking of answering Font when he said I was not a real indian but was reminded of a boss many years ago when i tried to get some attention by verbulizations--he said " I would not lower myself by arguring with you." You've indicated you have some part indian ancestry and, from my personal observation and experience, you are most definitely real. good enough for me and probably most others of reasonable or normal disposition. |
