Fishing Match...

Hi all...
I've organised a match for tomorrow, Sunday 10th Oct, but a few people have
dropped out so I'm on the lookout for some more entrants to make up the
numbers.

It's not a serious affair, a fiver gets you the ticket and another fiver
goes into the prize fund.. with 20 pegs on the lake that's potentially £100
to split between 1-2-3 places. We're really just more concerned with having
a good days fishing and friendly banter.

The match will be held at East Harling which is about 10miles from Thetford,
Norfolk from 07.30 to 15.00. The venue is well stocked although there's
nothing over the 4-5lb mark as it's purely match. No groundbait or boilies,
and barbless hooks only.

Ah well... you didn't miss much...
The winner bagged 16lb, but all I could muster was 6th place with a very
patient 3lb (four fish). Caught three in the first 20 minutes and the fourth
about 5 hours later!! A hotspot my peg was certainly not! ;-)
Luck of the draw I s'pose. And it'd be a bit dodgy if the organizer kept
winning eh?.. ;-))
Still, highlight of the day was catching a dace believe it or not.. my first
of the year, and a nice size one at that. Don't you get a bit tired of
catching carp carp and more carp at some of these fisheries?
Now, off to get that first tench...
