Default I didn't go fishing today

Hammer called me last night and wanted to hit the water early this morning.
A couple hours later he called and said it wasn't going to work out. No big
deal.

I considered heading out myself, but the allure of sleeping in got the
better of me. Sometime around 10 I finally stepped in the shower.

After that I had a productive day. I spent a coupel hours fabrication a
mounting plate for a video surveilance monitor, then I cleaned out half of
the garage. The other half is beyond me.

Finally about 2:00 I got aorund to some fishing stuff. I pulled hte back
deck of the Whacko and fixed the seat base that had been working itself
loose. Then I checked the batteries. Oops. Guess I forgot to plug it in
last time I came back from the river. Its charging now. The livewell fill
pump had been making osme obnoxious noises the last time I was out so I
geared up to replace it. I flippedit on and it purred like a kitten.
Hmmmm... maybe I should threaten to replace more equipment. I got the back
deck back in place, and she'll be ready to fish out of next time I am ready.
I'm trying to convince Robert (my son) he wants to go pro and fish the ABA
aluminum boats only series with me. Hammer and I are fishing the regular
ABA team series together again, but we haven't committed to fishing the
aluminum boat series.

Suppose to be sunny and 76 tomorrow. And since the Titans are playing the
Vikings... there aint no use in watching THAT game...

I should be there in my usual spots.

I didn't go today, either. Had some chores to do for my 96 year old
mother and a few for my wife as well. Installed some software on the new
PC and watched a movie with the wife tonight. After hooking up the boat
to head out to Congamond tomorrow. It's supposed to be around 50 and
cloudy all day with little wind and no rain. Just about perfect Congamon
conditions. Put a couple drop shot rods and a grub rod in the boat and
left everything else in the office closet. I'll probably chicken out and
grab a heavy jig rod on the way out the door.

I worked today & tomorrow will be spent getting the house ready to list.
Finally got a "new" house (50 yrs old actually). No lake frontage but
completely surrounded by woods & farmland. Next weekend, however, I've
drawn Harry Thundercat as my partner in a club tournament. Really looking
forward to that, stay tuned!

I think I caught a fish on every bait that I fished with yesterday, EXCEPT
the drop shot. I did have a fish nibbling on it in about 20' of water and
though I was hanging on a rock, so I missed that one. That was the only bite
I had on the DS.

I did watch a bass come out from under a rock and try to nail my worm, and
on the second cast I caught him. The only way I was about to get bit on the
worm was to pitch the bait on top on a rock and let the waves wash the bait
off. Had those days before...

Everything was shallow here, and the Fluke prevailed with the most catches.
Great day to be on the water, sad day to be a Titans fan.
