That was a nice boat for $6300

Not five minutes after the auction closed the top bidder sent me an e-mail
claiming they could not pay for it because of a family emergency. I guess I
just wasted the hundred bucks in misc listing fees. According to NADA that
is the value of the boat without a motor. Their loss, but I still need to
sell the boat in order to make the down payment on the new boat I want to
get.

That's tough. How much you wanna bet the family emergency was the wife's
phone call to a divorce attorney?

Wouldn't the dealer give you at least that much on a trade-in?

Maybe, but two fo the three deaelrs I have been negotiating with are out of
town. I figured it would be easier to walk in with some cash in my pocket
instead of dragging my boat 180 miles and seeming to needy of dealing with
them. Puts me in a bad position to negotiate details and extras.
