Default Fishing the first snowfall

Waking up to a couple inches of snow in the yard put me off my game this
morning, and I farted around at home until about 10AM before I decided
to go to Zoar.

Started off with a bit of a mishap at the ramp. Backed the trailer in
with one of the transom straps still hooked up. Pulled it back out and
unhooked that strap, but I'd alreay unhooked the bow eye when I
discovered the back strap, and didn't think to rehook it when I pulled
forward.

Oops. When I started to back up again and stoipped short, I experienced
a 'sudden' launch. Of the dry variety. That's the 1st time in 40 seasons
of launching at least once or twice a week that I've ever done that.
Luckily there were a couple guys checking out the ramp who helped me
slide the boat the rest of the way into the water.

Anyway, eventually I got out to my normal late season LM water and
caught one on the first cast! Maybe 2-1/2 pounds. For the next hour or
so, I caught fish pretty steady, alternating between the heavy jig &
chunk and a DS rig. The shallowest fish came from 12 to 15 and the
deepest from 32 to 35, and nothing in between. Most were 1-3/4 pound
range. Biggest was maybe 3-1/2. I got a total of 10, plus one really
good crappie that hit the DS rig. Then the wind came up and the bottom
fell out of my fishing, just like that. I was back on the trailer at
1pm. Going again tomorrow. I think I'll do Lillinonah this time.

What - no link to the dry launch pics?! C'mon Rich, we're almost tired of
looking at you holding those lunkers you catch...

I wanna laugh!
