The Sec'y of Fatherland Security Tom "Homeland Uber Alles"
Ridge has resigned. Given that Shrub has nominated Alberto
"Torture R Us" Gonzales to be Attorney Generalissimo, now
would be a good time to purchase that ACLU card you've
been meaning to get.

I find the Gutierrez nomination one of the most illustrative. The cabinet
post for business given to a titan of the industry that has convinced
America (and now a good deal of the rest of the world) that it's normal to
pay $4.00 for $0.20 worth of foodstuffs over-processed, over-packaged and
over-sugared into garbage.

Yeah, I know what you mean...it's almost as bad as convincing folks that it's
normal to pay $100.00USD to $1000.00 or more for $6.23 worth of graphite,
thread, and...um, uh, nevermind...

Yeah, except the end product in the one case is a useful thing of beauty and
in the other, well, garbage....
